Michael moved to the Hamptons from England in 1985 and started out selling real estate specializing in land and placing his clients with reputable architects and builders. In 1990 one of his clients asked him to design and build a spec house.

Michael conceived the idea of the “English Country Style” by blending the turn of the 19th century English country architecture with the Hamptons shingle style. He also recognized the unique attributes of Sagaponack and focused on development there and the surrounding villages and hamlets. He is credited with putting Sagaponack on the map, regularly listed as the most expensive zip code in the U.S.

The rest is history.

His company morphed from spec building to custom design and construction. His attention to detail, quality and service is unsurpassed and resonates through his firm from top to bottom.

After vacationing in Barbados for 22 years and confronting the consequences of cruise ships and crime, Michael went on an island search for 6 years. He ultimately discovered Anguilla, loving the year-round warm water, unsurpassed beaches, world class cuisine and the friendliest of people. It is no wonder that Anguilla is invariably voted by Travel & Leisure as the best island in the Caribbean. Now with the advent of direct flights from the New York, Washington, and Miami, Anguilla is just 3 ½ hours away.

Michael’s first Anguillan acquisition was the Jacala building on Meads Bay where he undertook a significant renovation. He was also able to buy what is known as Morgan Hill on Long Bay, which is the premier residential area on the West End of the island.
